Temptations is situated on the main street in the traditional market town of Bentham. Although it has a Lancashire address, we're actually just over the Yorkshire border and only 7 miles from the Cumbrian border. We regularly have visitors from Ingleton, Lancaster, Morecambe, Sedbergh, Kendal, Settle and Kirkby Lonsdale.

Temptations has been trading since 2001 under the current owner Christine Grieve, the shop sold similar items for over 40 years prior to this so has been a stalwart presence on our High Street for over 60 years. We stock everything for the knitter, from knitting bags to patterns and various yarns from Stylecraft and J C Brett. The shop also sells an extensive range of haberdashery. For the patchwork and quilter we have over 600 designs of 100% cotton fabric. Most of these are available on our online store as well as in the shop. We also sell dressmaking fabrics, water resistant fabrics, accessories, books and are agents for Brother Sewing Machines.

Our staff are friendly and helpful and have a vast amount of knowledge regarding the products and crafts that the shop supports.

The shop has been called an 'Aladdins Cave' by many of our customers so if you are in the area then do pop in and have a look for yourself.
